“Christmas” in March

This morning we loaded the children into two vehicles and took them to the Ikilonga – the local community hall.

Children waited excitedly in the shade of a tree.  The temperature was rising steadily, another very hot day.  It was all worthwhile though, as each child was soon presented with a gift in a wrapped shoe box, and a booklet – The greatest gift of all.

Thanks to the Samaratian’s purse organisation, many children in Swaziland who would not have received a “Christmas” present were blessed today.

A Blessing

This morning when I arrived at the school a few of the children were sitting outside, singing.  It was such a blessing.  They were singing their own version of the chorus, “I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back.”  This is a very popular chorus in Swaziland.  Praise God for what He is doing in these childrens’ lives.

(Matt 19:21 [NET])

Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
